After selling watches for so long, do you know the inspection process for watches? Watch quality check is very important for each company.
Today I’ll talk about how our products are inspected.
It is divided into appearance inspection, and function inspection
Appearance inspection is mainly to see the appearance of the watch product. Please note that the inspection we are talking about is mainly the product inspection, not including the outer packaging.
The function of the watch is the most important; the function test is to check the timekeeping, timing, smooth operation of the buttons, etc.
Okay, let me explain it in detail

I used to print out this form to check with QC inspectors in detail, about which quality problems are in the end, so I want to share it
Watches Appearance Quality Check
Pls Notice: All inspections are done by eye, without the help of magnifying glasses and other objects, and if the product requires the use of tools, it is A-grade goods, and of course, the unit price is different. I am now introducing the ordinary products
Check The Watch outside
First look at the outside of the dust, whether too much, the dust inside the watch, whether visible to the naked eye
Check Case
Before I get to that, let me explain some of the accessories;
I ring: It is a silicone circle that is placed on the edge of the glass for waterproofing purposes, and is mounted in the middle of the case and the glass when it is installed.
O ring: It is a silicone circle which is set on the edge of the bottom cover for waterproof purposes and is installed in the middle of the case and bottom cover.
Spring Bar: a ping that mounts the band
Polish: Artwork to make the watch case with different effects, Like vertical brushing, circular polished brushing, and smooth polishing
Decorative Ring:
A small rounded edge, usually beveled, is placed between the glass and the lettering to print the indicator, the decorative effect.

| Over Polished/Ground | Check if the polish/ grilling over to another positionlike: polished the Circle pattern over to vertical pattern |
| White dot Plating | Check if there are unplated areas on the case, if there is a white dot, it means, the plating is not covered there. |
| Plating color lost | Check if there are plating cover not covered on the case |
| Glass scratches, Nick | Check if there are scratches, nicks on the glass, ( Glass are always supplied by the case supplier) |
| Glass not flat | Check if the glass is assembled uneven on the case |
| Leakage glue on Glass | Check if there are glue between the case and glass |
| Glass position scratches, nicks | Check if there are scratches, nicks on the glasses |
| Glass plating edge defect | Some glass needs a circle of gold edge or silver edge of the color, if there are defects or other problems, this is defects |
| Scratches, Dirty on case decorative ring | Check if there are scratches, nicks on the case decorative ring |
| I ring defects | Check if the I ring( silicon ring around the glass to avoid the water come in after assembled the glass) is defects |
| Too crowed I ring | Check if the i ring is installed too tight, through the glass can see the i ring deformation on the case and glass |
| Gap on Case & Bezel | Check if there are gaps between Case and Bezel |
| Gap on Case & Bottom | Check if there are gaps between the case and the case bottom |
| No hole on case Lug | Check if there are hole on the case lug( The hole is for assemble the spring bar) |
| Eched Printing losen | Check if the eched logo or text loosen if there has. |
| Sharp edge | Check if the case edge is too sharp |
| Grinding deformation | Check if the grinding effect is deformation. |
Check Case Back
| Scratches, Nick | Check if there are scratches or nicks on the case back |
| Improper position of the back cover | Check if the assemble is not matched as requested.e.g., the text is not aligned with the case |
| Opposite direction | Check if the case direction is assembled wrong |
| Wrong case back | Check if the case cover is not right |
| Too crowed O ring | Check if the O-ring is too tight, so that it is pushed outside the case back |
| No Chamfer on case Back | Check if the required sharp area was chamfered. |
| Poor grinding | Check if the grinding quality is bad |
Check Dial
| Scratches, Nicks | Check if there are scratches or nicks on the dial |
| Lose index or UP | Check if the Index or Up-ed Indicator was lost. |
| Index scratches, dirty | Check if there are scratches, dust, dirty on the dial |
| Index, not tight | Check if the bold Index alignment |
| Up Scratches, Dirty | Check if there are scratches, dirty on the UP-ed Indicator |
| Up Improper position | Check if the Up indicator printed to wrong position |
| White/black dot | Check if the dial with white or black dot. |
| A gap on the dial and Inner Decorative Ring | Check if there are too many gaps between the dial and the decorative ring. |
| Printing wrong | Check if dial printing is wrong |
| Case & Dial, not tight | Check if the dial is soldering not tight |
| Leakage glue | Check if there are glues on the dial |
| Dial pattern defects | Check if the pattern on the dial is wrong |
| Upper layer and Down layer not matched | Check if 2 layer’s dial matched right. |
Check Hands
| Scratches, Dirty | Check if there are scratches and nicks on the hands |
| Losen Oil | Check if the luminous oil is loosening |
| Luminous defects | Check if the luminous is wrong |
Check Crown
| Scratches, Nick | Check if there are scratches and nicks on the crown |
| Etching defects | Check if the etched logo on the crown is wrong |
After the appearance check, it is to check the function of the product to ensure that the product can be used
Watches’ Function Quality Check
Inspection function is needed for each watches.
Check Movement
| Stop Working | Check if the movement wont work when checking the time. |
| Movt. Losen | Setup and swing the crown to see if the movement is too loose. |
| Wrong Time | Check if the time is right or not |
| Wrong date | Check if there are scratches or nicks on the case |
| Earlier/Late Jump date | Check if the date calendar jumps earlier or late |
| Week not jump | Check if the week calendar does not jump |
| Earlier/Late Jump week | Check if the week calendar jumps earlier or late |
Check Hands
| Hands misalignment | Check if the hour and minute hands point to the right indicator |
| Second hands misalignment | Check if the second hands point to the right indicator |
| Second hands offset | Check if the second hand offset? |
| Loosen hands | Check if the hands are too loose by swinging them. |
| Second hands loosen | Check if the second hands are loosened. |
| Chrono minute hands are not returned | Check if the Chronograph minutes’ hands returned when pressing the reset button |
| Chrono second hands are not returned | Check if the chronograph second hands returned when pressing the reset button |
Check Case
| Bezel can not rotate | Check if the bezel and rotate |
| Tight bezel/loose bezel | Check if the bezel too tight or too loosen |
| Muffled sounds on bezel | Check if there are noise sound when using bezel |
| Pusher button not work | Check if the buttons are working |
| Tight button/ Button not smooth | Check if the button too light or works not smooth |
| Pusher button fallen | Check if the push button is fallen |
Check Crown
| Crown fallen | Check if the crown easy fallen |
| Crown scratch the case | Check if the crown too close to the case, so it scratched the case |
| Crown bounced when using | Check if the crown bounced out when touching, normally it was locked in |
| Crown swing | Check if the crown is swing |
| Crown does not work | Check if the crown works or not? |
| Crown tight when pulling | Check if the crown is too tight when pull out |
| Crown not smooth when using | Check if the crown rotates smoothly when using |
After all the inspections, if there are defective products, we will take out rework; after the rework, then do the above quality inspection again, then doing the vacuum waterproof test, if there is no problem, then we can ship.

after this test, we also need vacuum-pressurized waterproof tests,
Some other test like: high and low-temperature tests, friction tests, and artificial sweat tests at the same time as the mass order shipment test.
There is also some incoming material inspection, such as friction test of leather strap and steel strap, bending test, tensile test, literal alignment test, etc.
